A checked throw in a linen, viscose and polyester blend, with fringes. The composition is unique in this catalogue: the linen, at 48%, gives structure and breathability; the viscose, at 29%, adds softness and fall; the polyester, at 23%, gives resistance and dimensional stability. What results behaves differently from wool or cotton: cooler to the touch, firmer in the hand, with a slightly rougher look that recalls linen table cloth.

Why linen in a throw

Linen is the summer fibre: it breathes, it does not hold heat, and it improves with washing, becoming softer without losing structure. In a throw those properties make it useful in a way wool is not: it is the throw for spring and summer, for evenings outdoors that are not yet cold, for anyone who wants a blanket on the sofa even with the air conditioning on. In winter it works as a light decorative layer over something heavier.

The three-fibre blend

The 48% linen gives the cloth its identity: the faintly irregular texture, the coolness in the hand, the way it lasts. The 29% viscose softens the linen, which alone can be stiff and rough, and adds a more fluid fall. The 23% polyester holds the shape.
