The motif

The recycled wool

The recycled wool comes from mill offcuts, sorted by colour and pulled back to fibre to make new yarn. The process uses less water and fewer raw materials than virgin wool, and in most cases avoids overdyeing altogether: the colour is already in the fibre it starts from.

Where and how to use it

As a decorative bedcover, over the arm of a sofa, folded on a reading chair. Recycled wool makes it right from the shoulder seasons onwards. The format suits one person and moves easily from room to room.
