A throw from the Fara line in recycled wool, with a tone-on-tone motif and a fringed finish. The weave plays on shifts of tone within one colour family, for a restrained and adaptable effect.

The motif

The motif is worked tone on tone, without the strong contrasts of a traditional Scottish tartan. The pattern stays recognisable but discreet, and does not compete with the rest of the room.

The recycled wool

The recycled wool comes from mill offcuts, sorted by colour and pulled back to fibre to make new yarn. The process uses less water and fewer raw materials than virgin wool, and in most cases avoids overdyeing altogether: the colour is already in the fibre it starts from.

The polyamide, at 25%, gives resistance to daily use and helps the cloth keep its shape.

Where and how to use it

On the sofa as an evening blanket, at the foot of the bed as a light cover, folded on a chair to add volume and colour. It is also a safe gift: it is liked across tastes and reads as a considered choice.
